Starting from the Tourist Office, discover the architectural treasures of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne. From the Place du Champ de Foire to the Porte de Villars, passing by the 15th-century market halls, you will wander through the cobbled streets and flowered bridges and admire the painted decorations on some facades or the beauty of the floral displays.
A 1.5 km walk punctuated with many stops where the well-kept secrets of this charming city will be revealed to you, between historical anecdotes and flamboyant Gothic architecture.

Midday

Taste the flavors of the region during lunch at a restaurant in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne.
Carp, poultry, and other specialties enhanced by the chefs will delight your taste buds and offer a pleasant gourmet break.

Afternoon

Visit to the Ponds of Dombes

Dive into the history of the ponds of Dombes. Uncover the secrets of fish farming, pond management, and the exceptional fauna and flora.
Opt for a tour on foot, by carpool, or by bus starting from the Tourist Office or the Bird Park.
The bus (42km) and car (35km) tours will take you to the Notre-Dame des Dombes Abbey or the Château de Bouligneux.
On foot, by car, or by bus, the walk is punctuated with stops by the ponds to fully appreciate the beauty of the landscapes and observe the birds.
